5 UW Milwaukee golf equipment suspended for calling Jewish teams “extremist”
5 pro-Palestinian pupil organizations on the College of Wisconsin at Milwaukee have been suspended for a July submit on Instagram, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
The Instagram story, a sort of submit that disappears after 24 hours, mentioned that organizations that help Israel are unwelcome on the college and referred to as Hillel Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Jewish Federation “native extremist teams.” The college publicly responded to the submit shortly after, saying, “UWM strongly denounces these statements and denounces any type of antisemitism, and we shall be actively monitoring campus because of this.”
Now the 5 organizations—College students for Justice in Palestine, the Muslim Scholar Affiliation, College students for a Democratic Society, Younger Democratic Socialists of America and Un-PAC, which collectively kind a coalition referred to as the UW-Milwaukee Widespread College for Palestine—have been quickly suspended pending an investigation.
