“Let’s be princesses.”
“Let’s make a foul man lure.”
“Let’s play firefighter.”
They’re invites to create the world collectively.

We witness them pretending to behave out, then really doing so, which is how our brains have advanced to study.
When youngsters say, “Let’s faux . . .” they’re inviting each other to have interaction within the highest of human actions, which is to suppose and transfer and make tales collectively. “Let’s faux we’re dinosaurs” is my “musical” cue to get out of the best way and let the youngsters educate themselves how their world goes collectively.
